Today students of the ME Department visited Gurdev Engineering and Industries , gaining insights into manufacturing processes and industry operations.

Day 1 Learning: Today students of ME department learn the Thermal Aspects of engine from suction to exhaust process inside the cylinder engine and also knows some basic ideologies on concept of Tribology in Engines.
Basic learnings
* Engine-Mode of heat transfers
* Temperature distribution before, during and after power stroke
* Silencer temperature cooling
* Materials used for engine components
* Ignition temperature
Day 2 Learning: Today students of the ME department learn the basic ideology of diesel engines, its working and also the concept of multi cylinder engines.

* Multi cylinder engines
* Concept of firing order- 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder engines
* Concept of Crankshaft arrangement for multi cylinder engine
* Fuel injector location
Day 3 Learning: Today students learn about the COOLING SYSTEMS used in multi cylinder engines.

* Engine Temperature change areas
* Multi cylinder cooling system
* Analysis of Fins via air convection
* Oil/Water/Air cooling system of multi cylinder engine.
Day 4 Learning: Today students learn about the HEAT CONDUCTION through engine parts.

* Modes of Heat conduction
* Analysis of heat equations
* Heat conduction parameters in engine working
* Engine modes of operations at different temp. zones
Day 5 Learning: Today students learn about the ENGINE CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION

* Chassis design and changing parameters
* Braking Systems
* Heat conduction while application of brakes
* vehicle skidding at the time of brakes
* Weight Transfer
Day 6 Learning: Today students learn about the CLUTCH AND GEAR TERMINOLOGIES

* Clutch engagement and disengagement
* Gear terminologies
* Gear slipping
The Students of Department of Mechanical Engineering visited STARTUP MAHAKUMBH at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi for experiencing the new innovations and startup gurus ideas for their achievements and success stories. They met various companies officials for the research and development in their field as many startup companies present their ideas in front for the students as well as researchers. Kuldeep kumar, Puneet kumar and Ratnesh kumar singh attended the event and learn and interect with various company officials for their internship and job opportunities.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering organised an APTITUDE TEST followed by motivational lecture by showing interview of IAS ASPIRANT Vs IAS OFFICER using SK SIR KI CLASS web module on 06/03/2025. Students learn about goals and essence of class teaching along with teachers and parents guidance while selecting their careers for futuristic pathways.Students of ME/CE participated in the sessions.
DAY 1 LEARNING: Today Students of Department of Mechanical Engineering learn about 3D printing detailed drawings, specifications and design softwares as the today's experts gave them practical exposure to real time problems and production of various components in their well skilled labs.
DAY 2 LEARNING Mechanical Engineering students learn about the concept of Reverse manufacturing 3d scanning metal composition used in additive manufacturing how does fusion bed works over desired coordinates. The 2 days workshop gives students a new level of excellence and learning as it is witnessed by the practical exposure of various technological tools used in mechanical industries now a days. Some of the glimpses are as under.
MODULE 1 (Linear Measurement) - Expert Mr. Sumit Kumar / Mr. Abhishek Gulati: Today is the first day of hands-on-learning for students of Tech-Mech Warriors Club in which students learn about basic tools and instruments of measurement and metrology used in production and manufacturing industries. They measured the dimensions of the piston, depth of piston, valve heads dimensions etc.
MODULE 2 (ANGULAR MEASUREMENT) - Expert Mr. Arun Kumar: Today the hands-on-learning for students of Tech-Mech Warriors Club is based on angular measurements in which students learn about basic tools and instruments for angular measurements of different automotive parts. They measured the dimensions in terms of angular orientation of wall, sine bar measurement, plug gauges, slip gauges etc.
Module 3 (Angular Measurement-Bevel Protractor &Thread gauges) - Expert Mr. Sumit Kumar / Mr. Abhishek Gulati: Today students of Tech-Mech Warriors Club learning is based on bevel protractor for angle measurement of inclined engine parts and thread gauges for measuring the gauge no.s of threads of bolts.They measured the dimensions of piston plates, piston diameters, piston skirt orientation etc.
Module 5 (3D Printer Learnings) - Expert Mr. Abhishek Gulati / Mr. Kapil Kumar: Today the students of Tech-Mech Warriors Club learning is based on 3D printers in which students learn about Designing phase, Slicer phase, File Formation phase, command phase and uploading phase followed by students presentation over it's practical applications.
Module 6 (Shaper and Planer machines) - Expert Mr. Sumit Kumar / Mr. Abhishek Gulati: Today students of Tech-Mech Warriors Club learning is based on shaper and planer machines in which students learnt about machines and its working over the workpiece which is the part of Subtractive Manufacturing and learnt about the difference between shaper and planer machine tools with workings.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering visited India Expo Centre, Greater Noida today for an ELECTRIC MOTOR VEHICLE SHOW with students and faculty members. The objective of the visit is to grab the internship and placement opportunities for students as the expo centre comprises more than 60 companies who work on the sustainability projects by providing Solar as well as EV solutions to society and their innovative techniques plays a promising role for the improvement in future facing environmental conditions. Our students met with many company officials, sharing their ideas, learning new skill sets, interacting with technical members of the companies and with this visit, we will arrange internships and placements for students soon. Students go through * A controller based display area, * Residential solutions to modern problems * EV companies of 2 wheelers as well as 4 wheelers.* Traction Battery pack companies etc.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering visited the BALAJI SPRINGS PVT.LTD. today along with club students and the company officials provide us the token of appreciation in regards to DEWAN VS INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY . Also we renew our bondings and MOU for more govt. paid internships and placement opportunities for our students. Students learn about the management techniques and team work cooperation while handling real time problems. Company experts guide each and every student very thoroughly while providing them exposure to production plants, CNC machine areas, manually operated machine areas as well as Quality check machine control room. After that there is a feedback session and QA session for students while sharing their views and queries to them. Today's visit provides students, a point of view in terms of future emerging technologies and the role of engineers in society.
Department of Mechanical engineering conducted an alumni meet today in DVSIET. Mr. Shiva Sangwan is the proud alumni of ME department as he showcases the paths of his juniors and also provides them guidance in regards to future scope, opportunities and challenges of the society. He also gives them assistance to be available whenever they need to learn new terminologies in educational fields. He also shared his experience during the engineering time regarding his project works, learning zones, extra curricular involvements etc.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering organised 1st OATH CEREMONY of Tech-Mech Warriors Club today in which students of Mechanical Department take oath on positions of PRESIDENT, VICE-PRESIDENT, TREASURER and rest as Scholars. The students will learn various technical, hands-on training, tinkering activities, industrial visits and company personal interactions with professionals.The objectives of the club is skill enhancement, skill development, hands-on-learning, industry exposure etc.
