Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)

Department has a rich tradition in research and teaching since its inception in 2007. The research interests of the faculty members of the department encompass the wide area of applied and fundamental aspects of Electronics and Communication Engineering. In addition to the well-equipped curriculum-related laboratories, the department has many facilities for assisting undergraduate project work in IOT, VLSI, RF Engineering, Digital Signal Processing, Image Processing, and Wireless Technology etc. The department also has an active student club to enhance the domain knowledge & skills and develops the leadership, communication, problem-solving ability, management, finance, presentation and public speaking etc.

Electrical Engineering (EE)

We are in the modern age of electricity. The recent developments in electrical engineering have become possible only due to the continuous innovation and development. We too, are the part of this excited journey since 2010. In addition to the excellent curriculum-related laboratories, the department has many facilities for assisting undergraduate project work in areas such as power quality, distributed generation, soft switching of converters, inverter design, control strategies for complex systems including robotics systems & networked control systems, high voltage & insulation research etc. In addition to this, a technical club or a society enables the students to connect to a peer group who shares similar interests and we too have the same boat to flow along the stream

A very warm welcome from the Department of the Electrical Engineering (EE) and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) of Dewan V S Institute of Engineering and Technology. We are in the modern age of engineering and understand its requirements; so, we train our students in recent areas-Power Quality, Distributed Generation, Soft Switching of Converters, Inverter Design, IOT, VLSI, RF Engineering, and Digital Signal Processing etc.


Presently the department is running the course at the undergraduate level and providing excellent facilities to carry out innovative project work for B.Tech degree, R&D work for sponsored and consultancy projects and testing and consultancy work for industrial problems. This is, of course, in addition to the regular courses in Bachelor of Technology that is a part of the curriculum. Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Technical Club organizes the co-curricular and extracurricular activities for the students to sharpen their creative capabilities. Our aim is

What is GATE?

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination administered and conducted in eight zones across the country by GATE Committee comprising faculty from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology of Behalf of the National Coordinating Board.

Importance of GATE

• Admission to Post-Graduate program at IITs, NITs, IISCs & many more reputed institutes of India.

• PSUs like NTPC, ONGC, GAIL, SAIL, BHEL, BARC, NPCIL, HAL etc gives importance to GATE scores for various job positions in their organizations

• Some government organization prescribes GATE qualification as requirement for applying to post of Scientist/Engineer.

• GATE qualified candidates are also eligible for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in CSIR Laboratories (like CSIO Chandigarh, C-DAC Mohali etc.) and CSIR sponsored project


To fulfil their dream, students have to pay heavy fees in coaching Institutes. Centre for Robotics & Embedded Systems

Centre for Robotics & Embedded Systems welcomes various departments to collaborate for interdisciplinary research projects

The centre also aims to receive funding from various government agencies like various Labs of CSIR(Council of Scientific Industrial Research) Like CSIO (Central Scientific Instruments Organizations Chandigarh), CEERI (Central Electronics engineering Research Institute Pilani etc.), DST (Department of Science & technology), MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information technology), MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) and private agencies (leading electronics companies throughout the world) to develop cutting edge technologies in the area of IOT, WSN, Image processing, VLSI, Environment monitoring, education, emergency response, security, and entertainment.

• To provide basic and required support from hardware to softwares for making their minor projects to major (final year thesis) projects from scratch level to optimum level.
