It provides a basic knowledge of Industrial Chemistry and Environmental Engineering to all branches of B.Tech. The department has well equipped labs, where experiments are designed to broaden experimental skills related to various testing and titration of chemicals.
Applied Physics is providing a sound science base for all engineering disciplines in first year. The department has well equipped labs, where experiments are designed to broaden experimental skill related to various branches of engineering and technology.
Applied Mathematics is one of the important subjects for undergraduate engineering students. The syllabi have been designed in the areas of Applied Mathematics, Computational Techniques and Statistical Testing to impart the sound knowledge of the various mathematical tools and their applications in the engineering disciplines.
Humanities and Management imparts instructions to UG students of the various engineering disciplines and caters to their needs in the areas of English and other foreign languages, Economics, Technical Communication, Technical Report Writing, Industrial Management and Managerial Economics etc.

Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities plays an essential role in an engineering college by teaching of Basic Sciences and Humanities courses for the students of all branches. The purpose of applied sciences in engineering study is to set a well built base of basic principles of various disciplines. Physics, Chemistry, Communication skills Laboratories have been very well established not only to cover complete syllabus but to motivate students to learn beyond it.
The teaching module comprises lectures, tutorials and experiments etc. The methodology adopted in the classroom teaching is based on application of innovative strategies, video lectures, comprehensive lectures, regular assignments and regular interaction between teachers and students.
